Andrew Higgins will make his return to competitive rugby when he turns out for Exeter Chiefs at tomorrow night’s J.P. Morgan Asset Management Sevens Series group C leg at Franklin’s Gardens.

Higgins signed to the Chiefs ahead of the summer, after formerly announcing his retirement from the game, and is among a number of more experienced players in the Exeter sevens squad.

The 29-year-old England A player will be joined by Samoan international scrum-half Garrick Cowley, Ireland sevens specialist Eoghan Grace and Fijian full-back Josh Matavesi. Ireland A’s Paul McKenzie and England students’ Drew Locke have also been selected along with a number of players from Exeter University.

The squad of 12 have been coached by Chiefs skills coach Ricky Pellow and former England Sevens star Tony Roques.
