Just one minute into the match, a brilliant step and break from Nic Allison sees him spin the ball wide to Nick Lilley on the wing, who puts his foot on the gas from the halfway line. A fantastic run down the left wing ends with him scoring in the corner. Ben Coen attempts the conversion from the touchline, but it falls just short of the uprights.
In the 7th minute, Cornwall set up a fantastic driving maul from a sharp five-metre lineout. However, they are held up over the line thanks to some outstanding defensive work from the Chiefs.
As we reach the 20-minute mark, Exeter Chiefs move the ball wide with a slick pass out the back, in the centre of the park. Using the full width of the pitch, they send it to the wing before some brilliant footwork and an inside offload to Nic Allison sees him dive over in the corner. The conversion attempt from the touchline drifts just to the right of the upright.
A five-metre scrum for Cornwall sees the number eight pick from the base and pops the ball off before taking contact. Cornwall then begins a series of pick-and-go phases towards the posts, making fantastic ground. Number 8 Shaun Buzza eventually dives over the line to finish off an excellent passage of play. Fly-half Joseph Cummins converts to bring the score to 10–7.
Cornwall brings the ball into midfield, where full-back Harry Larkins injects real pace as they spin the ball wide and break the line. Centre Max Bodilly uses brilliant footwork to step back inside towards the posts, beating his defender before running in a fantastic try. Converted by Fly-half Joseph Cummins adding another 2 points

A fantastic attack down the near-side wing from Chiefs hooker Sol Moody sees him chip the ball over the defender and regather it before being tackled by a retreating defender. Quick ball from the ruck then sees captain Lewis Pearson go over the line. Fly-half Ben Coen slots the conversion, bringing the score to 22–14.
A pass over the top from the middle of the park finds the Cornwall number eight, who draws his man before spinning it wide to winger Jack Stratton, who dots down in the corner to close the gap on the score board. However, the conversion attempt drifts just wide of the uprights.
A mismatch in the middle of the park creates a line break for the number 22, who spins the ball wide to full-back Harry Larkins, who finishes another brilliant try for the Cornish side. Dean Wills slots the conversion, bringing the score to 22–26.
A fantastic run down this nearside wing from substitute Joshua Golden-Clarke, starting from his own half, sees him race 20 metres before passing inside to Ollie Batson, who runs it in under the posts. Will Lane converts, bringing the score to 29–26 with only three minutes to go.
A brilliant run through the middle of the pitch from Ollie Batson sees him beat three defenders before eventually being brought down. The ball comes quickly from the ruck and is spun wide to Joshua Golden-Clarke, who finishes in the corner while carrying a defender on his back. Will Lane converts, bringing the score to 36–26.
A fantastic try from 10 meters out sees prop Cornwall prop Archie Rolls, dot over the line in extra time. Well converted by Dean Wills sees the final score end 36-33, a fantastic game of rugby from both sides!
