Championship outfit Ealing Trailfinders have today confirmed they have signed Exeter Chiefs back Max Bodilly for the 2020/21 season.

The gifted Cornishman is a product of Exeter’s highly successful Academy programme and has featured 37 times for the Chiefs, since making his first team debut against the Ospreys in an LV= Cup fixture back in January 2014.

During his time with the Chiefs, Bodilly has featured in the Gallagher Premiership, European Champions Cup and in two Anglo-Welsh Cup finals - and has also combined his rugby development by playing in the Championship on dual-registered terms with the Cornish Pirates.

Ealing’s Director of Rugby, Ben Ward said of Bodilly’s arrival: “Max first impressed us while playing on loan for Cornish Pirates a few years back. He has been at Exeter who are one of the best in the country and is a brilliant attacking threat to add to our current squad.

“He offers us the ability to play at either full back, outside centre or on the wing, and with game time we feel that he can really kick on with lots of room to grow.

“He has proven himself at the highest level as a powerful runner and we are confident that he will be a brilliant player for us.”
