Brand new JAECOO PWR fixtures released

Exeter Chiefs Women’s 2026/27 JAECOO PWR season will begin with a South West derby against Bristol Bears Women at Shaftesbury Park on Saturday, 28 November.

Following a bye-week for round one, the match-up with the Bristolians in round two will mark the squad’s first league match since a last-minute semi-final loss to Saracens Women at the StoneX in June.

Round three also features an away trip, to Loughborough Lightning on Sunday, 6 December at Franklin’s Gardens before Chiefs get their homecoming against Harlequins Women on Saturday, 12 December.

Women’s assistant coach Oli Bishop said: “I’m hugely excited to see the league fixtures for the new season. I think with teams getting stronger, and the movement of players between sides, it’s probably going to be one of the most competitive PWR seasons to date. That’ll give us a huge amount of closely contested games.

“Key fixtures I’m looking at starts with our round two match away to Bristol. It’s a derby we had good form in last season, but they’re a strong team. I think there’ll be some good, running rugby and a strong contest in that match-up.

“Round four is our first home game, against Harlequins. We had a heck of an encounter with them, home and away, last season so we know that’ll always be a good game for people to get along to.

“To have to wait four rounds to be back at home, I know the girls will be really excited at the chance to get back out on the Sandy Park turf again.”

The final match of the 2026 calendar pits Chiefs against Sale Sharks Women in round five the weekend before Christmas. The New Year then presents the challenge of Gloucester-Hartpury at Kingsholm Stadium in round six.

Three more games in January include Trailfinders Women and Bears Women at home sandwiched around a trip to face reigning champions Saracens in London on Saturday, 16 January.

A bye-week in round 10 gives Chiefs a headstart on preparing to face a three-week run of games. Tigers Women at Sandy Park is followed by a trip to London to play Trailfinders Women then a return to Devon to host Loughborough Lightning.

Rounds 14-16 in March are the last rugby before the league takes an eight-week break for the international window. Chiefs run into the break with two away trips, to Harlequins Women and Tigers Women before completing the block against Saracens Women on the weekend of March 27.

Bishop added: “Round 16 pitting us against Saracens at home will be a notable game. It’s a hugely competitive fixture. We played them three times last season in the league and cup, so for us it’ll be a game we’re targeting to put on a big performance and a good show.”

The two final rounds prepare teams chasing silverware for June’s semi-finals and final. In Round 17, Chiefs play their final home match of the regular season against Gloucester-Hartpury before making the long trip to Manchester to play Sale Sharks Women in round 18.
