Buchanan gets second chance to start for Scotland

Exeter Chiefs Women’s winger Katie Buchanan will get her second start for Scotland against Australia on Friday.

Following her try-scoring first start in Sydney last weekend, Buchanan will run out at the GIO Stadium in Canberra as Scotland look to claim their first win of the global tournament having played Australia, Canada and New Zealand back at home in the first half of the competition.

This will be Scotland’s last game before the players head back to their clubs ahead of the start of the PWR season, the Celtic Challenge and Élite 1 competition in France.

Three changes have been made to the Scotland Women starting XV by interim head coach Dave Butcher.

Hooker Aicha Sutcliffe will make her first Scotland start as Sarah Bonar returns in the second row after recovering from illness. Chloe Rollie comes back into the starting line-up at full-back.

There are also two potential debutants from the bench in the form of Glasgow Warriors duo, centre Nicole Flynn and tighthead prop Imogen Spence.

Friday’s game kicks off at 09:45 (BST) and will shown live on RugbyPass TV.
