Buchanan “incredibly proud” of Scotland debut

Exeter Chiefs Women’s newest international Katie Buchanan is eyeing up a second run-out in the blue jersey of Scotland after making her debut against Canada last weekend.
Buchanan got time off the bench in the last quarter to mark her first step into the international arena.
She said: “Making my debut for Scotland was such a special and unforgettable moment.
“I love this environment, this team, and everything that it stands for, so to now be a part of it is something I’m incredibly proud of. I’m so grateful for the opportunity, the people around me, and everything I’ve experienced so far.
“I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.”
Buchanan will start Saturday’s game on the bench against the Black Ferns as they take on the six-times world champions at the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh (KO 17:10).
Meanwhile, Francesca Granzotto has been named on the wing in Le Azzurre’s starting line-up to take on Japan at the Stadio Omero Tognon, Pordenone in Italy.
