Exeter Chiefs scrum-half Charlie Chapman has signed a contract with Worcester Warriors for the 2026/27 season.
Chapman switches to the Champ side after a year in Devon having joined Chiefs at the outset of the current campaign.
He said: “It’s been an incredible journey at Exeter. I’ve been given the opportunity to grow as a player and meet some fantastic people. I’m looking forward to finishing off the season strongly with the team. Thank you to all the fans for their great support.”
The Gloucester-born half-back was a part of his hometown club for more than a decade having originally donned the cherry and white colours at the age of 14.
A graduate of the Gloucester Rugby academy, Chapman went on to make more than 90 appearances for the club in all top-flight competitions.
The 27-year-old’s rugby journey began in the junior ranks of Matson RFC and his path to the Gloucester senior squad included time spent on dual registration with Champ team, Hartpury RFC and international representation for Scotland U20s.
As a Chief, Chapman has made more than 15 appearances most notably including an 80-minute performance against Sale Sharks away from home in November as the Exeter men executed a comeback to win 26-27.
Chapman will continue to compete for the number nine shirt until the end of Chiefs’ season, making the switch to Worcester in the summer.
