Chester Ribbons Signs for Cornish Pirates for 2025/26 Season

Exeter Chiefs centre Chester Ribbons has agreed a move to Cornish Pirates for the 2025/26 season.
The young back has been on dual registration with the RFU Championship side for the 2024/25 season and will become a permanent fixture at the Mennaye this summer.
"I'm delighted to be signing with the Pirates," Ribbons said. "I've loved my time on loan this season and feel I've made strides in my game since arriving."
Born in Yorkshire, the 22-year-old first caught the eye of the Chiefs with impressive performances for EURFC in Super BUCS.
A member of the Chiefs set-up at Sandy Park for the last couple of seasons, Ribbons has had to whether frustrating injury bouts throughout his time as a Chief.
Director of Rugby Rob Baxter wished the young player, who already has over 10 Pirates appearances, well as he prepares to depart the Chiefs.
"We're delighted that Chester has been given the opportunity to stay playing Championship rugby with Pirates.
"He's a young player that we'll definitely be keeping a very close eye on. He's been a part of our academy throughout his time at the university, and he was a good performer for EURFC and us in and around his injury spells.
"We wish him all the best at Pirates. Our advice to him was to really make a go of it at a Championship club and use every opportunity to get gametime and grow as a player. It's the best path for his future and this is a fantastic opportunity for him."
