As a new season begins on the pitch for Exeter Chiefs, the club’s community team are heading back into schools to deliver educationally beneficial sports programmes.

The team have introduced new projects to their delivery while maintaining the same high standards on their existing programmes.

Head of community Tom Steer said: “We know how important it is for schools to have access to high quality sport and PE delivery. Our programmes are designed to support teachers, engage pupils of all abilities and make sure sport is both enjoyable and educational.

“Whether it’s rugby, fitness or multi-sport sessions, we aim to add real value to the school day.”

Engaged with schools from North Devon, Exeter and now reaching out into the wider edges of Cornwall, the team still have availability for new schools to join their programmes.

With Exeter Chiefs Women’s players including Kayleigh Priest and Taz Bricknell, the community team have put a firm emphasis on ensuring their build upon the legacy of the 2025 women’s Rugby World Cup being hosted in England.

Our community team draw upon the core values of rugby to engage pupils in sports delivery which ultimately adds to their overall educational experience and ensures they find school an enjoyable place to be.
