Chiefs launch cup kit inspired by the River Exe
Published on: 01/08/2026
Exeter Chiefs today unveil their 2026/27 cup kit, a nod to the local community with the brand new VX3 designed heavily influenced by the River Exe, which runs through Devon.
The shirt design, which features a wash of aquatic tones, pulls inspiration from the water that flows through the city’s main river. Just as the River Exe continues into the Channel to begin its journey towards Europe, so too will Chiefs as they pull on the new kit for their European campaign.
Modelled by Chiefs players Henry Slade, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso and Campbell Ridl in the launch video, the shirt will be paired with matching shorts and a lighter tone of sock to complete the matchday kit.
This season promises to be an exciting one for Chiefs. Having reached the Gallagher PREM final at the end of a strong campaign last year, director of rugby Rob Baxter has made some interesting new signings across key positions to build on the progress made last season.
The kit marks a number of firsts for the club. It is the first kit produced in partnership with local brand VX3, the first design under Chiefs’ Black Knight ownership and the first to feature new key club partner, Outfox Energy.
Supporters will don the commemorative kit with Sandy Park featuring prominently on the front of shirt to mark the 20th anniversary of Chiefs’ home ground. The players will run out in the performance kit which proudly features Outfox Energy as new front of shirt partner.
The club shop at Sandy Park will be open from 10:00-16:00 today for supporters to purchase their kit, or alternatively you can order yours online from our shop here.
With the PREM Rugby Cup due to kick-off with a South West derby on September 12 and the Investec Champions Cup launching into action one month later with a trip to Stade Toulousain, there are countless memories set to be made in the new cup colours.
