Chiefs to host Munster Rugby in EPCR Challenge Cup knockout
A new chapter will be written in the Exeter Chiefs v Munster Rugby story as the two sides will meet in the Round of 16 of the 2025/26 EPCR Challenge Cup.
With a 31-0 win over Cardiff Rugby at Sandy Park, Chiefs secured their fate as hosts for the first round of knockouts while a 29-31 loss at Thomond Park against Castres in the Investec Champions Cup on Saturday evening means the Irish province slip down into the second tier of European competition.
The last time Chiefs hosted Munster in Devon was in December 2023 in the second round of Investec Champions Cup action that season. The Exeter men were victorious on the day, running in four tries as Henry Slade scored a try, three conversions and two penalties.
So, with this latest fixture, Chiefs fans will still be able to pack the park, make their voices heard and try to roar the Exeter men to another knockout victory.
The game will be played over Easter weekend 2026, with official dates, timings and ticket window information to be confirmed at a later date for supporters.
