Last Friday night at Sandy Park our U18 and U17 squads gathered to celebrate their 2023/24 season, a year full of group and individual accomplishments.

The evening was a fantastic chance to acknowledge the tireless hard work and effort dedicated to our pathway programme by coaches, players and back-room staff.

“The evening was a great success, enjoyed by all,” Chiefs Academy Manager, Rob Gibson said. “We’re incredibly proud of everything this young group has achieved this season.

“We aim to challenge the players with the most challenging games and situations we can put them in and the most pleasing aspect is how they have taken the challenges head on and the bonds they have created have been integral to their successes. They have shown a lot of talent and promise, so we are excited to see what they can achieve going forward.”

Parents, families and supporters were in attendance to applaud the night’s winners as well as listening to addresses from Exeter Rugby Club Chairman, Tony Rowe CBE and Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter.

Then, for the awards section of the evening, the winners were welcomed onto the stage to receive their prizes from Chiefs first team players Tom Cairns and Will Becconsall.

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate all our young players, and we look forward to supporting their further progression both on and off the field.
