Hundreds of rugby fans packed Exeter city centre on Sunday to celebrate the success of both the Exeter Chiefs Men's and Women’s Team.

After a season to remember for the Devon club, which included the men being crowned Premiership Rugby Cup winners and the women's side retaining the Allianz Cup, as well as coming runners-up in the Allianz Premier 15s, supporters of the side lined the streets to pay homage to their seasonal efforts.

The successful teams were greeted by fans during an open-top bus parade down the High Street, after which the team, coaching staff and club directors were then treated to a civic reception at the historic Guildhall, where they were met by the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Cllr Kevin Mitchell.

The Lord Mayor said: “We as a city couldn't be more prouder of the Exeter Chiefs, who have again enjoyed another fantastic season. They have helped to put our city on the map, bringing to the region international stars and fans alike.”
