Disciplinary update: Ethan Roots

Exeter Chiefs back-rower Ethan Roots has been suspended for three matches following a disciplinary process.

The suspension relates to the 20-minute red card Roots was shown by referee Matthew Carley in the 80th minute of the Gallagher PREM round 14 match between Gloucester Rugby and Chiefs at Kingsholm stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Roots was shown the red card for a punch or strike on Gloucester player Jack Innard. The case was heard on papers by sole judicial officer Daniel Gore.

Roots accepted the charged and received a three-match ban.

  1. EPCR Challenge Cup semi-final v Ulster Rugby [2.5.26]
  2. Gallagher PREM R15 v Bath Rugby [10.5.26]
  3. Gallagher PREM R16 v Harlequins [16.5.26]
