Published on: 03/06/2026
Exeter Chiefs will bid farewell to 20 players at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
The departures include seasoned veteran Scott Sio, Wallabies’ centre Len Ikitau and Chiefs academy success story Rusi Tuima.
Sio will make the move to Cardiff Rugby, joining the BKT United Rugby Championship next season.
Tuima will join centre Will Rigg in linking back up with former Chief Josh Hodge in Newcastle Red Bulls colours while Christ Tshiunza will become a Sale Shark. Youngsters Louie Sinclair and Sol Moody remain teammates, albeit at Ashton Gate as Bristol Bears next season.
After impressive dual registered spells with Cornish Pirates this season, scrum-half Will Becconsall moves back home to Cornwall alongside back-rower Jack Forsythe and centre Harry Ascherl.
Fly-half Iwan Jenkins will also make his loan move a permanent deal having signed for National League 1 side Plymouth Albion.
Winger Dan John and scrum-half Charlie Chapman are both due to have their next destinations announced later this week.
Centre Tamati Tua, scrum-half Orson James, centre Kian Gentry, props Khwezi Mona and Kwenzo Blose, lock Alfie Bell and back-rower Martin Moloney will also move on.
Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter said: “I’d like to thank all the players leaving us for being a part of the Chiefs journey. This season has been an enjoyable one for all of us, as the boys have pushed themselves in all three competitions, creating some truly special memories.
“All of our leavers have contributed to a strong, tight-knit environment and I know I speak for everyone at the club when I say we wish them all the very best in the future.”
