Unprecedented demand for next year’s Gallagher PREM Final has seen fans snap-up 25% of tickets ahead of the league’s first ever Thursday night opener.

The news of the record sales for Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on June 20, 2026, accompanies an incredible week of rugby across England.

It also marks the first time in history that this milestone has been reached before the PREM season has begun.

The same figure was reached in November last season as the 2025 final sold out in record time.

Now early signs point towards a third successive capacity crowd in London when two sides battle it out for the new-look Gallagher PREM trophy in eight months’ time.

Driving this surge is a new wave of younger fans. Ticket purchasers in the 18-34 age range have increased by 82%, underlining PREM Rugby’s growing appeal with the next generation.

Simon Massie-Taylor, CEO of PREM Rugby, said: “These incredible figures show the extraordinary momentum behind PREM Rugby and the growing reputation of the Gallagher PREM Final as an unmissable event in the sporting calendar.

“To sell a quarter of tickets before the Gallagher PREM season has begun highlights the scale of demand and the growth of our audience – particularly among younger fans.”

At the same time, the league’s overall popularity has also accelerated, with YouGov data showing PREM Rugby fandom rising 45% since 2022 - and 57% of new fans falling within the 18-34-year-old category.

Massie-Taylor added: “We’re building not only one of the most attractive leagues in world rugby, but also one of the most vibrant fan communities.

“The PREM is super-competitive and has had six different winners in the past six years.

“Now we are all eager to see who will emerge as this season’s leading contenders when we kick-off on Thursday night with Sale Sharks versus Gloucester Rugby.”
