Maddie Feaunati has returned to Exeter Chiefs Women’s squad to further her career in the English league and cup competitions.

An England qualified player, care of being born in Leeds while her father was based in the UK during his rugby career, Feaunati decided to turn down the opportunity to play in New Zealand’s Super Rugby Aupiki competition in favour of more game-time with Chiefs.

Feaunati made her debut for Chiefs Women against Leicester Tigers in the Allianz Cap back in October 2023. She played in six Allianz PWR games following her debut.

Exeter Chiefs Women’s coaching staff and players are delighted to welcome the No 8/flanker back to the Sandy Park fold having played her last game for the club against Saracens in January.

Head coach Susie Appleby said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Maddie back to Chiefs. She is a very powerful carrier and has a huge appetite for learning. She also brings fantastic energy into the club. We can’t wait to see her!"
