After scoring a try on his Scotland U20 debut last week, Jed Findlay has been included in the Scots' side to take on South Africa U20.

Head Coach Kenny Murray has named his Scotland side for the penultimate World Rugby U20 Championship pool stage game against the junior Springboks at Stadio San Michele on Wednesday (kick off 2.30pm BST).

A number of changes have been made from the Australia game due to the short turnarounds between matches in the competition.

Jamie Stewart makes his first competitive start for Scotland U20 at tighthead prop, having come off the bench in both matches in the championship so far.

Angus Hunter is involved for the first time in the championship, starting at outside centre, and Will Pearce could make his debut from the bench.

It’s all change in the front row as Stewart is joined by Jake Shearer, who starts at loosehead prop, and Seb Stephen, who makes a first start of the championship at hooker.

Mark Fyffe, another making his first championship start, and Charlie Moss make up the second row, and blindside flanker Oliver Duncan, openside and captain Freddy Douglas and number 8 Reuben Logan are the back row selections.

In the backs, Hector Patterson starts at scrum-half and will combine with stand-off Isaac Coates to make the half-backs.

Hunter is joined by inside centre Jack Hocking in midfield. Cameron van Wyk is selected on the left wing with Nairn Moncrieff on the right, and the team is completed by Jack Brown at full-back.

Joe Roberts, Pearce and Ollie Blyth-Lafferty are primed to come in the front row, with Bart Godsell and Oliver Finlayson-Russell the other replacement forwards.

Backs Noah Cowan, Matthew Urwin and Jed Findlay are the final substitutes.
