Four Academy players selected for England 18s summer tournament

Four players from the Exeter Chiefs Academy have been selected for England U18s’ tournament in South Africa this summer.

The four Exeter College students, Archie Guyver, Jeremy Keys, and Jack and Will McIntosh will be part of a 28-man squad that will play in a U18s international series in Cape Town, starting on 7 August.

After a development camp in July, they will fly out to South Africa on 2 August.

Exeter Chiefs Academy manager Rob Gibson said: “We are delighted to see Will, Jack, Archie and Jerry selected for the England U18s Men’s South Africa 2026 squad. To have four players recognised at international level is a fantastic achievement and reflects their hard work, dedication and commitment. Everyone at Exeter Chiefs Academy is incredibly proud of them and we look forward to following their progress with England."

England U18s head coach Jonathan Pendlebury said: "Congratulations to all the players selected for this season-opening tour to South Africa, a fantastic opportunity for them that that reflects the hard work, commitment and ownership they have shown throughout the pathway to earn their place in the squad.
