Tom Hendrickson’s early season form for the Exeter Chiefs has been duly rewarded after he was named the Michael Spiers Player of the Month for September.

A product of the club’s highly-successful Academy, the 25-year-old centre beat off the challenge of South African newcomer Jannes Kirtsen to take the award.

Hendrickson has featured in all four of Exeter’s four Premiership Rugby Cup fixtures, starting three of them and coming off the bench in the away win at Worcester Warriors.

He grabbed his first try of the season in Exeter’s 28-14 victory over Bath in their seasonal opener at the start of the month.

Hendrickson was presented with some limited-edition Exeter Chiefs cufflinks from Michael Spiers chairman, Keith White MBE, following last weekend’s home win against Bristol Bears.
