
Jenkins to miss Wales summer internationals

Exeter Chiefs captain Dafydd Jenkins will miss the inaugural Nations Championships for Wales through injury.
The Wales lock sustained a shoulder injury during the Gallagher PREM Final against Northampton Saints at the Allianz Stadium.
Exeter Chiefs’ director of rugby Rob Baxter said: “Daf is having a shoulder operation and will miss the Wales summer internationals while rehabbing. However, he is expected to be fit for the around the start of the new Gallagher PREM season.”
However, Chiefs’ young lock Luke Evans has been selected for Wales U20s to face Uruguay at Avchala Stadium in Tblisi on Thursday in the second round of matches in the World Rugby Junior World Championship.
In other injury news, hooker Max Norey suffered a calf tear during the final. He will also be back for the start of the 2026/27 season.
