Exeter Chiefs have welcomed a new director to their board after recruiting Catherine Hill.
As the former head of culture & leisure at Exeter City Council, Hill had already worked with the club to help deliver two Rugby World Cups in 2025 and 2015.
Hill has long championed community-focused initiatives, people engagement and stakeholder management to help form the city’s diverse cultural makeup and will use these skills to help Exeter Chiefs flourish as it continues the process of attracting additional investment.
The mother-of-two began work at Sandy Park at the start of the year to drive the commercial success of the club.
Exeter Chiefs CEO and chairman Tony Rowe CBE said: “I have worked alongside Cath for many years and consider her an experienced and safe pair of hands to elevate our commercial success going forward.
“The club and Sandy Park are poised to push on after five years of recovering following the pandemic, so this is an exciting time for Cath to join our board.”
Hill said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for Exeter Chiefs, and it’s a privilege to step into this role. As Sandy Park reaches its 20-year milestone this autumn, it’s inspiring to work alongside such a dedicated team, and I’m excited to help shape the next chapter of the club’s commercial success.
"I’m eager to bring fresh energy and ideas to our commercial strategy, supporting the Chiefs and Sandy Park as we continue to grow, innovate, and build for the future.”
