No rugby at your club? We are here to help!

With local club rugby suspended for another two weekends, players and supporters may be looking for their next rugby fix.

The RFU delayed the start of the competitive community rugby season to the week commencing Monday, 21 September, due to hard pitches, leaving everyone involved in these clubs with some unexpected free weekends.

Exeter Chiefs men’s team will be only too happy to welcome these community club players and supporters to their PREM Rugby Cup game against Bristol Bears this Saturday (KO 15:00).

With special offer tickets from just £5 for a youth ticket and £16.50 for adults, this game could provide a ready replacement for anyone who wants to enjoy some rugby action this weekend.

Used as a development tool for all Premiership clubs, the Prem Rugby Cup also offers supporters the chance to get behind some of the club’s younger players, many of whom hail from local clubs, as they run out alongside more experienced players and available internationals.

Exeter Chiefs’ director of rugby Rob Baxter said: “The South West is full of community rugby clubs who are having to wait for their seasons to get going. We would love to see anyone involved in those clubs come to Sandy Park this weekend and give our cup side their support.”
