Exeter Chiefs Women's prop Hope Rogers and centre Gabby Cantorna have been selected in the official USA Eagles squad for the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup.

Held right here in England, the competition is an important and exciting celebration of the very best of our women's sport.

Both players - who have more than 100 Chiefs appearances between them - have featured for the Eagles at previous World Cups as well as being integral members of the Chiefs Women's squad in recent PWR seasons.

Cantorna is delighted to be taking part in her second tournament, saying: "It's an incredible honour to be named in the World Cup squad.

"Every step of the journey has led to this moment, and I'm beyond excited to represent my country on the world stage again. I can't wait to get out there with this special group and give it everything."

Chiefs Women's head coach Steve Salvin said: "With this first official World Cup squad announcement from the USA, we experience double pride.

"Hope will go into her fourth World Cup as the most capped player in the squad. As Chiefs fans know, she is an outstanding player and we look forward to seeing her play back in England.

"I am especially delighted for Gabby. She missed out on the end of the Pacific Four Series but was called up to the most recent camp and has earned her selection. I wish them both well for the next few months."

The USA will be part of the much-anticipated tournament curtain-raiser against England Women at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on Friday, August 22 live on BBC Sport.

Drawn in the highly competitive Pool A, the Eagles will also face off against Australia and Samoa.
