Six Exeter College students selected for next two England U18s fixtures

Six students from Exeter College will feature in England U18s’ next two games against Scotland and Ireland.

Izzy Firth, Beth Hall, Honey Kerslake, Lucie Sams and Rowan Turney are all set to add to their U18s caps while wing Rose Powell Williams is ready to make her debut against Scotland.

Both fixtures will be played on the second match day of the 2026 Under-18 Women’s Six Nations Festival at Wellington College on Easter Monday. These games come just days after losing to Wales 32-24 in the opening round.

Operating as a 28-strong playing squad, players will be assigned squad numbers consistent across both fixtures against Scotland and Ireland.

Evie Collingbourne will captain the U18s for the first time against Scotland, while Kerslake returns from her training block with the U21s to co-captain England against Ireland alongside Meghan Crilly.

Head coach James Cooper said: “As a group, we’re obviously disappointed with the result against Wales, but there’s real perspective when you consider that 14 of this group are still under-17 and gaining invaluable experience at this level.

“We saw encouraging signs in how the players stuck to our processes and there were some strong learning opportunities, particularly around game management, that will stand us in good stead moving forward with positive intent.

“We’ve connected well around the positive moments, and I’m excited to see how this group responds and grows when we get our next opportunity tomorrow.”

The two 35-minute fixtures will start with the Scotland game at midday and Ireland at 13:00. All Six Nations Festival fixtures will be streamed live on the Six Nations U20s YouTube channel.
