
Sol Moody to join Bristol Bears for the 2026/27 season

Exeter Chiefs hooker Sol Moody has signed a contract with Bristol Bears for the 2026/27 season.
Moody makes the move to the southwest rivals having been a part of the Chiefs squad since 2023/24 and most recently impressing with dominant displays in Champ Rugby on loan to Cornish Pirates.
Moody said: “Exeter Chiefs have given me memories that will last a lifetime and created friendships that go far beyond the game. I leave with nothing but gratitude and pride, but with a real excitement to start my next chapter.”
The former Finborough School pupil was one of a quartet of young players brought into the Chiefs player pathway in 2023 having been a standout performer for his school.
The 20-year-old hooker has spent most of his Chiefs career on dual registration with Pirates, gaining valuable experience in a highly competitive league. Most recently, he has impressed with eye-catching performances in Penzance, scoring 12 tries in 12 games this season.
Moody will complete the current season for Pirates before moving to Bristol in the summer.
