Swann called up to Scotland squad

Published on: 01/04/2026

Exeter Chiefs Women’s loosehead prop Demi Swann has been called up to Scotland’s Six Nations squad as injury cover.

The 28-year-old has replaced Loughborough Lightning’s Anne Young, marking a return to the Scotland-set up for the Canadian born player.

The former wrestler from Ontario has trained with both the Scotland and Canada squad but has yet to be capped by either nation.

Exeter Chiefs Women’s head coach Steve Salvin said: “Demi has worked incredibly hard for international recognition, and it is great that Scotland have now given her that opportunity. We hope this is the start of a journey to playing regularly in an international shirt.”

Swann arrived at Sandy Park in the 2023/24 season following the demise of Warriors Women. Since then, she has played 36 games for the club.

Scotland’s 38-player Guinness Women’s Six Nations squad, headed up by new head coach Sione Fukofuka, includes 24 athletes who featured in the Rugby World Cup 2025.

After facing Wales in Cardiff on Saturday, 11 April, Scotland will host England on Saturday, 18 April, at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, before travelling to Parma to face Italy a week later.

A fallow week then sees France make the trip to Edinburgh on Saturday, 9 May, before the championship concludes in Dublin at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, 17 May.
