Team News: Chiefs Name Team for Cornwall RFU Friendly

Exeter Chiefs have named their side for a last friendly of the 2024/25 season as they welcome Cornwall RFU to Sandy Park.

Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter has named his matchday 23 to take on the Cornishmen, including a number of upcoming EURFC talents and Exeter academy prospects.

Chiefs Academy provides the front row line-up as Josh Mann starts at loosehead, Tyler Bayley at hooker and Isaac Godfrey at tighthead.

There is professional experience sprinkled throughout the second and back row. Jack Dunne and Eoin O’Connor are the starting locks while Lewis Pearson captains the side from blindside flanker.

On the openside, Charlie Bell as EURFC’s Josh Cunnignham completes the pack at number eight.

Chiefs U18 and England age-grade scrum half George Newman starts alongside Louie Sinclair in the half back berth. Olly Batson then has professional guidance with him in the centre pairing as he starts with Charlie McCaig.

The back three is then completely Chiefs Academy as Noah Fenton and Campbell Ridl start on the wings with Jed Findlay at full back.

On the bench for the forwards; Robert Gaffan, Ratu Peni-Ralogaivau, Albert Dowse, Charlie Evered, Harry Price and Sam Leworthy.

Then for the backs, their cover is provided by; James Howard, Freddie Hirst, Ollie Miall and Israel Akinrowo.
