Three Exeter Chiefs Women selected for round one of PAC4

Published on: 10/04/2026

Three Exeter Chiefs Women will kick-off the 2026 Pacific Four Series in Sacramento in California this weekend.

USA Eagles’ most capped player Hope Rogers will start at loosehead prop against the Black Ferns on Sunday.

Under the guidance of head coach Jack Hanratty and led on the pitch by captain Erica Jarrell-Searcy, the matchday 23 features a strong veteran core while infusing fresh momentum from six potential debuts that have displayed standout performances to earn the number on the back of their USA Jersey.

Hanratty said: “Its been a fast learning for all staff and athletes, but the one thing that has been there from day one is the willingness and openness to create an Eagles style of rugby.

“We want to explore the game - give the right to try things and be adaptive and responsive to all elements in the game. We only know where we are when tested, and who better to be tested by than historically the most successful Women's rugby programme in the world?”

In the other fixture, Canada’s second most capped women’s player DaLeaka Menin will start at tighthead against Australia. Hooker Emily Tuttosi will start alongside her.

Alex Tessier was unavailable for selection as she continues to recover from a broken hand so Justine Pelletier will take over as captain.

Meanwhile, Sabrina Poulin will represent Canada at the first leg of the 2026 SVNS World Championship in Hong Kong next weekend.

Canada's head coach Kevin Rouet said: “It’s been a short preparation window, but everyone is excited to get back on the pitch and play for Canada again. I’ve said it a few times already, but it’s important to recognise that we are at the beginning of a new cycle.

“We need to focus on giving our young, up-and-coming players opportunities to showcase themselves at the international level. We have a great mix of youth and experience in our roster for Australia, and it should be an exciting match.”
