Work placement | Performance analysis

Working hours: Times and days are dependent on the weekly fixture.

Work placement: Two positions available

We are searching for two Performance Analyst placement students to work with our Men’s senior side and our Women’s side with additional opportunities with our academy teams included.

The primary role will be to capture footage of home Men’s matches at Sandy Park, but there will also be opportunity to come in to help capture and analyse training sessions on occasions where it fits around University schedules.

You will be using performance analysis software to generate video and statistical feedback and you will be able to see the work being used in the coaching process to improve performance.

This role is a great opportunity for someone in full-time university education to supplement their learning with Elite level sporting experience.

Requirements:

• Availability on weekends
• Be a full-time or part-time university student (or other equivalent Post-18 education)
• An understanding of rugby union
• An interest in performance analysis
• Time management and interpersonal skills
• Good work ethic

Desirables:

• Studying a sport or related degree
• Experience in capturing footage for sports events
• Knowledge and experience in using performance analysis software
• Coaching experience

Availability:

• The required availability will be weekends (games are on either Saturday or Sunday).
• This will be supplemented with 1-2 days a week at the club for training sessions (3-4 hours).
