Chiefs Academy trio to face France U18s

Five days on from making his England U18s debut, Exeter Chiefs Academy player Will McIntosh has been selected to start in Tuesday’s fixture against France U18s.

The matchday two meeting pits the two Six Nations sides against one another at Boland Landbou School as part of the U18s International Series.

His identical twin brother, Jack is then named on the bench alongside fellow academy player Jeremy Keys, both of whom featured against Georgia U18s on Friday afternoon.

England were 66-33 winners against the Georgians with Sale Sharks’ Charlie Bray’s two-try haul meaning the back-rower retains his captaincy role this week.

Tuesday’s game will kick-off at 12:30 [BST] with the fixture streamed live on the SuperSport Schools website or on the official Springbok YouTube channel.

England U18s men’s head coach Jonathan Pendlebury said: "The win over Georgia gave us a positive start to the tour and highlighted some of the attacking intent and enjoyment within this group, but our focus now is on continuing to evolve, grow and get better as a team.

"We know two tough challenges await us this week against France and then South Africa, but our full attention is on the next opportunity in front of us, with every player taking ownership of their role and supporting one another to raise our standards.

"France will test our relentlessness, and we're excited to see how this squad responds as they continue their development in a supportive rugby environment."
