Exeter Chiefs lock Dafydd Jenkins has been named in Wales’ 38-man squad for the upcoming 2026 Guinness Six Nations squad.
The workhorse of the Chiefs’ pack, who is still only 23-years-old, already has 26 caps for his country and has appeared in 12 games this season for Chiefs.
The former Welsh captain joins props Rhys Carre, Archie Griffin and Nicky Smith as well as back-rowers Olly Cracknell and Freddie Thomas as the PREM club inclusions in the pack.
Ospreys’ hooker Dewi Lake is named as captain of the side who will kick off their campaign against England at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on Saturday, 7 February.
Head coach Steve Tandy said: “There are a few changes to the squad from the autumn, some due to injury but others are a sign of the competition there is and how many players we have in the mix which is a real positive.
“I think we have a good blend again within the squad moving into this campaign and can’t wait for us to assemble next week.
“I’m excited to get back into camp and look at how we build on the foundations established in the autumn and make sure we are continually growing and developing as a group.”
The 877-cap squad also includes two potential debutants in Leicester Tigers’ wing Gabriel Hamer-Webb and Bath Rugby’s centre Louie Hennessey.
