Chiefs men’s and women’s forwards to attend community Easter camps
Published on: 01/04/2026
Attendees of our Chiefs Community’s ‘Train Like A Chief’ camps at Crediton RFC and Oakmeadians RFC will be joined by Chiefs players Louie Gulley, Kane James and Maisy Allen.
The Easter holiday camp on 8 April is being hosted at Gulley’s hometown club Crediton RFC where he first picked up a rugby ball, and the young hooker is relishing the opportunity to return to his roots.
Gulley said: “I can’t wait to get back there and feel like I’m giving back to the place where my rugby journey began. It’s an honour to be able to speak to the kids that might be looking to embark on the career path that I took, and I’ve had the fantastic experience of having my dream of a Chiefs debut come true.
“Kane and I have come through the Chiefs system together and we’ve seen first-hand how important camps like this can be to inspiring a love of rugby in youngsters. We can’t wait to get stuck in!”
Furthermore, the camp on 7 April will be held at Oakmedians RFC, the development ground of standout Chiefs Women’s back-rower Maisy Allen.
Allen said: “I’m really excited to return to my old club. When I played for Oaks, I did not realise where rugby would take me. I hope I can encourage a few young players to dream big but also to remember to enjoy the sport I love.”
Allen’s club team-mates Liv McGoverne, Taz Bricknell and Kayleigh Priest will also be heading down to the Crediton girls’ specific camp on 8 April.
Our outstanding camps draw upon the values of rugby to encourage children to further develop their love of physical activity. With high quality coaching, our community team creates a safe and supportive environment for young players to create new friendships and learn new skills.
For players aged six to 13, Chiefs’ one-day camps are priced at £32.50 per child with discount for group bookings. For more information, visit the community page on our website here.
