
Rugby camps to fill the summer holidays

Chiefs Community department has put together a full schedule of training camps to keep young rugby players busy this summer.
The Train Like A Chief programme will visit rugby clubs across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset to pass on skills to budding Chiefs players of the future.
The summer tour will include two girls-only events to meet demand.
Tom Steer, Chiefs Community manager, said: “Summer camps are a part of our busy schedule that we look forward to every year. As a dad, I know how hard it can be to keep youngsters entertained over the long holiday so we hope these camps will help fill a bit of time while also honing the skills of some young players along the way.”
The summer camps are open to six to 13-year-olds and will kick off at Kingsbridge RFC on Monday, 10 August, with the last session held at Exeter Athletic RFC on Thursday, 27 August.

Each camp will include high quality coaching from qualified coaches plus match play and games in a safe and supportive environment. Places are priced at £32.50 or the equivalent of £26 each if parents/carers take advantage of the five for the price of four group discount. Places can be booked here.
Chiefs Community is also running two residential camps this summer with a boys-only three-day event held at Blundell’s School from Monday, 27 July, and the very first girls-only residential camp from Monday, 3 August.
The girls’ camp will be led by Chiefs Women’s Taz Bricknell, Kayleigh Priest and Hope Rogers. New signing Harry Wilson and Chiefs hooker Julian Heaven will be joining the team for the boys’ residential. Both cost £375 with all activities, bed and board included. They can be booked here.
