Exeter Chiefs girls-only rugby camp heads to Cornwall
Published on: 08/01/2026
Exeter Chiefs Community department is hosting a girls-only rugby camp at St Austell RFC later this month.
The half-term session will run from 9:30 to 15:00 on Wednesday, February 18, and will be led by Chiefs players, the USA Eagles’ most capped women’s player Hope Rogers and locally grown, former Exeter College captain Kayleigh Priest.
Girls, aged between 12 and 18, are invited to join this session to help develop their skills as they head into the rest of the season.
The camp will feature an educational session on healthy eating and menstruation, combined with fun rugby sessions and team-building activities in a supportive, girls-only environment.
Rogers said: “We cannot wait to go down to Cornwall. Like Devon, it is an area that has a tradition of producing excellent female rugby players and we hope this session will help them grow and inspire them further. Coaching in the community this season has been one of the top highlights for me and I’m genuinely looking forward to the camp.
“We would also welcome any players who want to give rugby a go for the first time. A session like this could change your life and open up a new sport to enjoy or even a future career path. As a minimum, you’ll have a really fun day!”
Tickets are £32.50 each and can be booked here. There is also a group deal of five places for the price of four.
