Chiefs Women select Cup captains

Exeter Chiefs Women have selected their PWR Cup captains ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Emily Robinson has been named as captain with her sister Flo Robinson and flanker Maisy Allen serving as vice-captains.
Head coach Steve Salvin said: “First and foremost, we have based the decision on the outstanding candidates for the roles. Emily is a natural leader, who always leads by example and is very emotionally intelligent. Flo was our outstanding player last season and is developing her ability to drive the team from scrum-half and Maisy is an old head on young shoulders and is incredibly driven.
“The fact these three players are all in their early or mid-twenties, incredibly talented, with outstanding leadership skills is very exciting for us as a club and we cannot wait to see them take us forward as a group.”
Back-rower Robinson, who arrived at Sandy Park at the start of last season, said: “I feel very honoured to captain this team. I will lead by example and do my very best in everything for the group. I am looking forward to playing my part within the team for the group’s growth and success.”
Her sister and Allen meanwhile are more long-term servants of the club with nine seasons between them having both come through the University player pathway.
Scrum-half Flo Robinson said: “I'm very grateful to be named a vice captain for this team. To have the trust of my team-mates and coaches means a lot, and I'm looking forward to learning, supporting the group, and doing whatever I can to help us grow this cup period and into the season.”
Allen said: “It’s a privilege to take on this role, and I’m excited for the challenge ahead. I hope to help guide the team through the rest of pre-season, into the build-up, and throughout the cup campaign.”
Exeter Chiefs’ Women’s PWR Cup campaign will kick-off on Saturday, August 23 (KO 15:00) when they play Harlequins at Cobham RFC. The tournament will run alongside the Rugby World Cup to give the next generation of English players some game-time.
Chiefs will then head to 4ED Hartpury Stadium to play Gloucester-Hartpury on Sunday, September 7 (KO 13:00) and then their first home game of the season will be against Trailfinders at Sandy Park on Saturday, September 20 (KO 13:00).
