Coming soon: The Black Hearts
Published on: 30/10/2026
Rugby supporters will get an insight into the lives of two of Exeter Chiefs Women’s young players in the first part of a new video series, The Black Hearts.
Danielle Preece and Honey Kerslake discuss the highs and lows of pre-season and first game of the season, as Chiefs’ cameras also get up close and personal with the women’s new-look coaching team, Oli Bishop and Ross Bundy.
This will be the first time the women’s team will have featured in a long-form video that will be available to watch on YouTube via the Chiefs website at 9am on Sunday, 8 November.
Named after the emoji that has become synonymous with the women’s team, the title also represents the stone black hearts each player is presented with to remind them of the squad’s internal culture.
Head of marketing Libby Taylor said: “I cannot wait for our supporters to see this. Our videographer Gareth has truly captured the essence of these young players, the grit of pre-season and the excitement of the first fixture of the season. It is a classy production that we will look to continue with more episodes of The Black Hearts and then a similar style for the men’s team.”
Supporters already signed up to our women’s mailing list will be send a link to the first episode to The Black Hearts as soon as it is published. Any supporters who have not signed up yet can find the link at the bottom of our website home page.
