Community team raring to welcome May holiday camps to Sandy Park

Published on: 28/04/2026

Our Exeter Chiefs Community team are excited to be bringing one of their May Train like a Chief camps to the home of Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park.

Visiting three other local rugby clubs in the local area, the camps give children aged six to 16 the chance to enjoy an action-packed day of rugby, fun and personal development.

Taking place at Plymstock Oaks RFC, Withycombe RFC [girls-only camp] and Salcombe RFC, tickets for the camps are now on sale with spaces limited.

Head of community Tom Steer leads up a team full of enthusiastic coaches who aim to provide every child with an unforgettable experience.

Tom said: “We love every camp that we’re able to host but being able to introduce some children to rugby right here on the Sandy Park pitch will be truly special.

“As a team, we see camps like this as an opportunity to encourage kids to immerse themselves in all the key aspects of rugby not just as a sport but as a way to help to develop them as an individual as we promote the importance of respect, skill and ambition.

“Our Easter holiday camps were a fantastic success, so we’re excited to be putting the finishing touches on everything we have in store for our May campers.”
