Exeter Chiefs welcome Devon-made sportswear brand for 2026/27 season

Published on: 03/07/2026

Exeter Chiefs will partner with Devon-based sportswear brand, VX3, for the 2026/27 season.

Located in Paignton, VX3 specialises in high-performance athletic clothing that is both durable and technically functional but also stylish.

VX3, which stands for the Latin phase “veni, vidi, vici” and translates to "I came, I saw, I conquered," will produce the kit for the Exeter Chiefs men’s, women’s and academy teams for at least the next three years.

The first peek of the cup kit is due early in the summer holidays. The home and away kit will be revealed to coincide with the start of the Sandy Park 20th anniversary celebrations in September.

Exeter Chiefs’ commercial director Catherine Hill said: “We are delighted to be partnering with VX3. As a business, we like to work with local suppliers, and you could not get more local than VX3. I’m excited to build on the relationship we have already cultivated in such a short time.” Ben Lovell, MD of VX3, said: “Working with Exeter Chiefs has been a long-standing ambition for VX3, given the close proximity of our two organisations and our shared roots in the South West. The opportunity to partner with one of the most respected and successful clubs in English rugby is incredibly exciting for everyone at VX3.

“The club's rich history, strong identity, and continued ambition both on and off the field make Exeter Chiefs an ideal partner for us. We are particularly excited by the club's vision for the future and the opportunities that lie ahead as we work together to support players, supporters, and the wider Chiefs community.”

VX3 will not only design and manufacturer the kits and replica kits, but also a full range of leisurewear.

Exeter Rugby Club Ltd’s CEO and chairman Tony Rowe said: “We are very impressed with what we have seen so far from VX3. They have grown into a brand that can meet the needs of a top-flight rugby club like ours. I am looking forward to seeing how this Devon partnership continues to flourish next season and into the future.”

Chiefs’ head of retail Emma Dingley said: “What is so nice is that there are Chiefs fans among the staff at VX3. They are so invested in what we are trying to achieve, which is excellent quality and thoughtful designs that will look good on both our players and our supporters.

“I have been so impressed with the quality and the design inspiration they have brought to the table so far. I am looking forward to sharing their work with our fans. It will be a fitting start to our Sandy Park 20th anniversary celebrations – a new shirt for a new era.”
