Feyi-Waboso, Fisilau and Slade in England’s summer squad

Published on: 22/06/2026

Exeter Chiefs will provide three players to England Rugby’s 36-player squad for the inaugural Nations Championship.

It will include No 8 Greg Fisilau who is yet to be capped by England. He will be joined by Immanual Feyi-Waboso and Henry Slade.

Exeter Chiefs’ director of rugby Rob Baxter said: “I am pleased to see these three players in the England squad for this summer’s tour. They have been an integral part of our season and have worked tirelessly to help our club to two finals and a semi-final.

“I would be delighted to see Greg get his first cap in the Nations Championship. He has been in and around the training squad before, but I feel he is an exciting young player that deserves a chance to wear the red rose.”

The squad will train at England’s Performance Centre at Pennyhill Park until Wednesday before departing for South Africa, where they begin their campaign against the Springboks at Ellis Park, Johannesburg, on Saturday, 4 July.

England will then return for an 'away' fixture against Fiji at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool before travelling to Argentina to face Los Pumas at Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades, Santiago del Estero in round three.

"We've selected a squad with a good blend of experience and emerging talent," said Steve Borthwick.

"The Nations Championship presents an exciting challenge for this group. We will face strong opposition in demanding environments, with extensive travel, and changes in climate all testing the squad throughout the tournament.

"I am sure by preparing well and continuing to demand the highest standards from one another every day, we will be well placed to meet the challenge of a very demanding summer schedule.”
