First Red Roses start for Robinson

Published on: 28/10/2026

All of Exeter Chiefs Women’s current Red Roses have been selected to start England’s last WXV game against USA Eagles, with Flo Robinson getting her first start.

The Exeter Chiefs scrum-half, whose maiden cap came in the 2025 Guinness Women’s Six Nations, impressed as a replacement last time out against Canada.

Maddie Feaunati continues her run in the No 8 jersey with Claudia Moloney-MacDonald reinstated on the wing.

Robinson said: “I can't wait to play this weekend. We have some wrongs to right and I'm excited to see what we can do on the pitch. Playing in this jersey is always special, and I can't wait to pull number nine on this weekend.”

They will all run out for the last WXV Global Series for England at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey on Friday night (KO 21:15 GMT).

In addition to Moloney-MacDonald and Robinson, there are four further changes to the starting XV with Sale Sharks fly-half Holly Aitchison is named in the 10 jersey. Tatyana Heard completes the backline amendments while in the pack, Gloucester Hartpury duo Mackenzie Carson and Maud Muir come into the front row.

The Red Roses will want to end their North American tour on a high following two defeats at the hands of Canada.

Red Roses head coach John Mitchell said: “Our intent is to start this next phase strongly against the USA, with six months until our next test in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations.

“We’re rotating some positions this week to refresh the group, create opportunities and continue building our depth. Selection is driven by what the team needs against the USA, the behaviours we value and the performance we’re preparing to deliver. Everyone has a role, and everyone is accountable for our standards.”
