Four Exeter College players will begin their England U18 Women’s 2026/27 campaign with the first national two-day camp at the University of Nottingham today.
Previously capped Beth Hall and Rowan Turney will be joined by Rebekka Hershelman and Darcy Tee for the 67-player squad’s first opportunity to come together ahead of a busy season of development and further competitive international activity in the new year.
Exeter College’s head of women’s rugby David Kimberley said: “It is a testament to the players’ diligence and coachability that has allowed them to be selected to this positional camp.
“It is credit to Darcy as a first-year learner to be invited in this early and shows how she has adapted well to a high-level environment.
“Rebekka has worked consistently on her game over the last year and has really put her hand up as a role model on the pitch since being selected in our leadership group.
“Both join the experienced and hardworking duo of Rowan and Beth who have kept their places through determination and dedication to rugby.”
The players will be immersed in a high-performance environment designed to support their growth both on and off the field. The camp will also provide an important opportunity for staff to assess performances and establish key foundations for the season ahead.
The squad will take part in on-field training sessions, unit meetings, strength and conditioning work, and educational workshops as part of England Rugby’s player development pathway, helping to support the next generation of players for future representative opportunities.
James Cooper, England U18s women's head coach, said: “We’re delighted to bring the squad together for the first time this season.
"The opening camp is always an exciting opportunity for players to showcase their abilities, build new connections and embrace the standards and expectations of the England pathway.
“We have a talented group of young players coming into the programme and this camp will be an important first step in their development.
"We're looking forward to seeing the players challenge themselves, learn from the coaching team and enjoy representing England Rugby.”
