Hooper and Ikitau to feature for Wallabies against Ireland
Tom Hooper and Len Ikitau have been named in the Wallabies 23 to take on Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this Saturday evening.
The Wallabies are in search of their first win of their Quilter Nations Series tour having suffered a 25-7 defeat to England at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham and a 26-19 result against Italy in Udine last weekend.
Ikitau comes into the side for Hunter Paisami while Hooper moves into the second row to partner Jeremy Williams with number eight Harry Wilson captain.
Australian head coach Joe Schmidt, who was formerly the Ireland coach for six years, said: “It’s been a tough schedule but we’ve tried to embrace that this week and tried to freshen up at the same time.
“It’s another opportunity this Saturday to really challenge ourselves against one of the top teams in the world.”
The fixture, which kicks off at 20:10 on Saturday 15 November, will be broadcast live on TNT Sports.
