Swann poised to make her international debut

Published on: 09/04/2026

Exeter Chiefs Women’s prop Demi Swann is poised to make her international debut for Scotland in the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations.

The loosehead was called up to the Scotland squad as injury cover for Loughborough Lightning’s Anne Young.

Swann has been named on the bench for Scotland’s first game of the tournament against Wales, being played at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff at 16:40 on Saturday.

The 30-year-old said: “It’s a massive honour to represent Scotland. It’s something you dream about for a very long time and to finally have the opportunity is super special.

“We’ve prepared really well as a group this week and I’m just looking to hopefully get on the pitch and contribute the best I can for this squad. I just want to stay present and take in this special moment.”

Although Canadian born, Swann was in the Scotland squad for the 2023 WXV tournament but did not get any game time. She also represented Glasgow Warriors in the 2024 Celtic Challenge.
