River Dart Country Park Kids' Zone
Bringing your little ones along to a match day at Sandy Park? Let them blow off some steam and explore River Dart's challenges outside of the 80 minutes of action on the pitch.
There are three areas at the River Dart Country Park Kids' Zone:
7.5 metre Adventure Climbing Wall
Kit up and tackle our 7.5m climbing wall! All climbs are on auto belays, the instructor will clip you on and off the safety cable.
Adventure Cave
Get the helmet and torch on and explore the Adventure Cave! Our cave is an exciting replication of real caving. Test your skills by navigating the passageways, tight tunnels, boulders, and chambers. You will be kitted up by an instructor and then it’s time to enter the twist and turns of 90 metres of passageways.
Adventure Trail
Take on the exciting Adventure Trail! Test your balance and skill along the course. A fun and challenging activity for all participants.
The Accuracy Zone
Perfect your passing skills! The aim of the game is to pass the rugby balls through the holes on the board. Will you make five perfect passes? Give it your best shot and see if you can get your name on the high score leader board!
- Kids' Zone wristband holders have 1 attempt at the rugby ball pass challenge.
- Pay to play £2 for x 5 balls (card payments only)
The Skill Zone
Take aim at the two archery ranges! Using indoor archery equipment, test your bow and arrow skills to get the best score on the target. What will your high score be?

What do I get?
Kids' Zone wristband holders get unlimited access to The Adventure Zone (Climbing Wall, Adventure Cave and Adventure Trail), plus 1 x attempt at the rugby ball pass challenge and 1 x attempt at archery.
Opening Times
Available on match days for ticket holders. The Kids' Zone opens 2 hours before kick-off and closes in line with the stadium. The Kids' Zone will be closed during game time.
On Arrival
Pre-booked ticket holders and non-ticket holders must check in at the River Dart Country Park Kids' Zone cabin to obtain a wristband before proceeding.
Activity Terms & Conditions
Opening Times
- Available on match days only to ticket holders.
- The Kids' Zone will open 2 hours before kick-off and closes in line with the stadium.
- The Kids' Zone will be closed during game time.
Climbing Experience participants must
- Be a minimum weight of 3 stone (this is the minimum weight you need to be for the belays to lower you down)
- Maximum weight of 17 stone.
- Minimum age 5 years.
- The caving system may be difficult/uncomfortable for any participant over 6’4’ high, 44” chest, 20” shoulder, & 42” waist.
- Wear comfortable, weather suitable clothing, and footwear. Shoes must have enclosed toes and be able to be securely fastened.
All activities participants must
- Participate at your own risk.
- Behave in a responsible manner.
- Remove all loose objects or jewellery before participating.
- Carry out safety rules given by the instructor.

Not suitable for anyone suffering from high blood pressure, any heart conditions, epilepsy, or serious claustrophobia.
Activities may be forced to close in adverse weather conditions
You must not participate if you are pregnant, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, have any back or neck problems or have had an operation within the past twelve months.
You must not participate if you are undergoing any medical treatment or have any other conditions that may be affected by participating in such activity.
Equipment
- All safety equipment will be provided. We aim to ensure that we have equipment for all sizes of customers participating in our activities, however, in exceptional cases a customer’s body shape and size may not match that of the equipment we hold. In this instance, a refund would be applicable.
