Allen and Robinson added to Red Roses training squad

Exeter Chiefs duo Maisy Allen and Flo Robinson have been named in the first Red Roses’ 46-player training squad of 2026.
They will join fellow clubmates Maddie Feaunati and Claudia Moloney-MacDonald while the PWR takes a break for most of January.
Flanker Allen has been leading the tackle count in the PWR since week one, currently on 129, and remains one of the top try-scorers in the league. Having earned her first cap in September 2023 and taken part in the inaugural WXV competition in New Zealand, she is keen to add to the five caps she already has.
Allen, aged 23, said: “I’m really excited and grateful to be heading into camp. It’s an opportunity you can never take for granted, and it’s always great to be around the professionalism and standards that come with it.
“I want to use the January off period to work on areas of my game I can improve and take into the second half of the season, with the goal of becoming more consistent and earning more opportunities to be called into camp.”
Robinson, also a pivotal part of the Chiefs squad, earned her one and only cap for England in last year’s Six Nations against Italy last year. She missed out on selection for the Rugby World Cup but now has an opportunity to push for more honours.
The 24-year-old scrum-half said: “I am very excited and happy to be involved in the first camp of 2026. I want to push on this year and try to get to the best standard I can, and being in those environments is what will help me do that.”
Exeter Chiefs Women’s head coach Steve Salvin said: “This is not me being biased as anyone can see how well Maisy and Flo have been playing for us this season. These young players, our two vice-captains, have been in outstanding form and I am delighted their efforts have been recognised by England. This is a great opportunity for them to show what they are capable of among the rest of the Red Roses squad.”
Meanwhile, it will be business as usual for World Cup champions Feaunati and Moloney-MacDonald as they join up with their international colleagues at Pennyhill Park Hotel.
Head coach John Mitchell said: "“As we enter a new cycle, this camp will focus on aligning our communication and resetting our culture to win. It is natural for a rugby cycle to go through regeneration which presents exciting opportunities for young players over the next four years. The quicker they can adapt and contribute to the environment will enhance their opportunities.”
