ImmanuelFeyi-Waboso

Former Corpus Christi High School pupil, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, signed his first professional deal with hometown club Cardiff back in December 2021, initially juggling his rugby commitments with his school studies at Bristol’s Clifton College.

Born to Nigerian parents, Feyi-Waboso grew up as one of six siblings in Llandaff, and kicked off his club rugby journey with Rumney RFC, while also being heavily involved in athletics specialising in hurdles and high jump.

He represented Cardiff Schools at Under 11s and Under 15s before progressing further in the Cardiff Rugby pathway with the age grade sides and academy.

His talent was clear to see and at 18 years old, he made his first team debut for Cardiff against the Ospreys.

In February 2022, it was confirmed he would join the Wasps Senior Academy, combining his rugby with studying medicine at Aston University.

Feyi-Waboso made his Wasps senior debut in a Premiership Rugby Cup victory over Newcastle Falcons. When Wasps slipped into administration in October 2022, the Chiefs moved swiftly to secure the signature of the Welsh age-grade international.

In February 2024, Feyi-Waboso committed his international allegiance to England as he was given his debut by Steve Borthwick in the Guinness Six Nations.

The winger has been a standout performer for club and country since. Now with 55 Chiefs appearances to his name and a frequent feature of the England teamsheet, Feyi-Waboso generates excitement whenever he is on the ball.
