Fly-half
Introduced to rugby by his father, then nine-year-old Iwan Jenkins got his first taste of the action at Pontyclun RFC in Wales where he would quickly make a name for himself as a rising young playmaker.
Initially part and parcel of the Cardiff Rugby age-group set-up, it was in a match against the Chiefs that Jenkins first came onto the radar of Exeter Academy Manager, Rob Gibson.
His blossoming talent was clear to see and when the opportunity arose to bring Jenkins to the Westcountry, the Chiefs wasted no time in making their move. Securing him a place initially at Exeter College, the club then brought him into the ranks at Sandy Park ahead of the 2020/21 season.
His progress also caught the eye of his native Wales’ age-grade programme coaches and Jenkins went on to represent the Welsh Under 20s side in recent years.
For the 2022/23 season, Jenkins continued his rugby development playing for National League One side, Taunton Titans, before coming back into the Chiefs fold to help the squad claim the Premiership Rugby Cup.
