Centre Will Rigg joined up with the squad at Sandy Park from Championship Rugby side, Coventry Rugby at the beginning of 2024.

Having enjoyed his time at Butts Park, the young back was excited by the prospect of testing himself in the elite rugby environment the Chiefs can provide.

The 23-year-old was a prolific attacking threat for Coventry who he joined in June 2022 from BUCS side, Cardiff Met University. During his time at Butts Park Arena, Rigg chalked up 31 appearances, 14 tries and was selected to the 2022/23 Championship Rugby Team of the Season.

The opportunity came for Will to join Chiefs early - midway through the 2023/24 season - and so, Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter agreed with Coventry for the centre to join Chiefs with immediate effect.

Since doing so, Rigg's talent has progressed and the centre has established himself as a fan-favourite of the loyal Sandy Park crowd.
