Canadian prop DaLeaka Menin added further firepower to Susie Appleby's pack when she joined the club head of the 2021/22 season.

Menin, who has a degree in law and society/sociology, arrived from rivals Loughborough Lightning with 50 international caps to her name, adding further experience to the side.

Having first picked up a rugby ball at 12 years of age, Menin rose through the age groups while playing for Calgary Hornets. She represented Canada at U20s level, before winning her first international cap against the Black Ferns of New Zealand in 2015.

Menin represented Canada at the 2017 Rugby World Cup in Ireland, before moving to Loughborough Lightning, where she spent three seasons before moving into the Chiefs front-row. She was part of the side that beat the Black Ferns for the first time in the Pacific Four Series in 2024 to take Canada to second in the world rankings. Menin also collected her 50th Chiefs cap in the 2023/24 season and was named in the Allianz PWR Team of the Year.
